Our Academic Forums

Princeton Claremont Academy is unique in its approach to education. As a high school it seeks to combine the best of some of the most popular and traditional education models. Believing that all students increase their chances for achieving academic success when their academic program is designed around who they are and how they learn, PCA developed an education model that includes classroom instruction, independent learning, support from mentors and on-line faculty and guidance in developing their own Personal Academic Plan. PCA’s on-line school offers a number of academic programs that support independent learners and students needing help with a particular academic question. One of those programs is the Academy’s academic forums. When students register for an academic forum, they may log on and ask questions about topics related to specific academic subjects, such as, Algebra I. The questions are then answered by teachers and other experts. Forum users also have the option of browsing and reading the questions posed by other forum users and the teacher responses. The Academy’s Educational Forum Service (EFS) gives the forum user a place to get questions answered and engage in a discussion with a teacher and other students anytime of day. When students log in they can choose to participate or just watch the discussion. Princeton Claremont has designed a website to help students understand and use its academic forums.
